By joining our CSA, you are reserving a full season of wonderful, freshly harvested vegetables. Seedtime & Harvest will fill your CSA share with vegetables each week, with more emphasis on basics (such as salad greens, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squash); and occasionally unfamiliar vegetables (Savoy cabbage, collard greens, fennel).
Full Summer Share
Our Full Summer Subscription provides the vegetable needs of a family of four eating a primarily vegetarian diet.
Frost hardy crops, lettuces, radishes, spinach, and beets abound in Spring;
Heat loving vegetables … tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers flourish in Summer;
And winter squashes, garlic, sweet potatoes, and hardy greens carry us through Fall.
Bi-Weekly and Monthly
Smaller families and couples can choose to receive veggies bi-weekly or monthly. This is the same as the “Full Summer Subscription” and is delivered every other week (13 weeks) or once each month (6 weeks).
Our veggies are so fresh, that you have plenty of time to eat it all.
Start your week by eating the lettuces, delicate micro greens, and other salad ingredients.
Peppers, cabbage, cauliflower, etc., will hold (well wrapped in the refrigerator) to be eaten the following week(s).
By the end of the second week, your refrigerator’s veggie bins will be looking a little bleak, just in time to pick up a fresh batch of veggies.
Examples of a Full Summer Subscription 2018:
- June 22/23 – 2 lbs. asparagus, 1 bunch carrots, 3 kohlrabi, 1 Spring Mix lettuce, 1 loose-leaf lettuce, 1 bunch radishes, 1 bag Micro Greens & Herbs. Value: $40.50
- August 17/18 – 3 lbs. tomatoes, 4 lbs. potatoes, 1 head broccoli, 1 loose-leaf lettuce, 1 bunch beets, 1 pint cherry tomatoes, 1 Savoy cabbage, 4 sweet peppers, a few hot peppers. Value: $49.00
- October 19/20 – 1 Spring Mix Lettuce, 1 loose-leaf lettuce, 1 bunch kale, 4 onions, 2 lbs. tomatoes, 1 lb. shallots, 3 winter squash, 3 lbs. sweet potatoes. Value: $50.50
