All of our tubers are grown on our farm.  No imports!  

$15 flat rate shipping on any size order of dahlia tubers. Shipping begins the end of March/beginning of April depending on your region.  US orders only.   Early and combined shipping available upon request.

The dahlia portion of our flower farm looks like this: A hundred dahlia varieties. Seven dahlia beds. A thousand plants. Trellised. Fertilized weekly. Free of spider mites and other insects.  Newly emerging flower buds bagged with organza to protect from flying and chewing insects. Plus all the digging, dividing, storing.

You’ve guessed it … Dahlias are a lot of work but their beauty is beyond compare and so absolutely essential in bouquets and wedding work.

A soil steam-sterilizer machine has been added to our equipment arsenal and has made a great difference in the
health and production of our flowers, especially our dahlias.

Sterilizing is heavy work, But results are worth the large investment plus all the time and muscle required.

What are the results?  Disease pressure: Crown gall is a risk when we purchase new tubers but has no chance to proliferate. The disease stops there, with that one infected tuber. Our soil remains clean and all the plants around that one infected tuber remain clean. In digging and dividing thousands of tubers, crown gall and leafy gall are a non-issue. It just does not happen.

We will begin to wake up our tubers in January, shipping whenever the weather is conducive to do so. Heat packs are also available ($7) for early shipping.
