Tomato Plants – Cherry, Grape, & Pear
Cherry, Grape and Pear. Mini tomatoes in different shapes, lots of colors and super-wonderful flavors. Our favorites? They are all delicious but … our personal favorites are Black Cherry and White Cherry.
Atomic Grape: Lavender and purple stripes, turning to technicolor olive-green, red, and brown/blue stripes when fully ripe. Phenomenal flavor. Won best of show at the 2017 National Heirloom Expo. Range in size from a large grape to plum sized. Baker Creek.
Black Cherry: My personal absolute favorite! Rich and sweet. When chilled, has a unique, extra-sweet ‘Concord’ grape flavor.
Bliss: NEW! A joy to behold and to eat! These almond-shaped, mirthfully and lightly sweet 1 oz. tomatoes ripen to a dazzling yellow with unique green stripes. Snackable fruits are irresistible fresh off the vine. Heavily yielding plants offer a happy windfall of tomatoes from the height of summer until frost. Loads of bold color for party trays and salads. Follow your bliss! Burpee.
Cherry Bomb: Classic cherry flavor. Firm, sweet, and well-balanced. High yields; vigorous plant. Red. A bomb of a cherry!
Honeycomb: NEW ! This summer your garden will present your family with an outstanding profusion of miniature golden-orange cherry tomatoes touched with a taste of honey. ‘Honeycomb’s sinuous 6–7 vines are garlanded with 12–15″ trusses that cascade into clusters of sweet petite ½ oz. golden-orange tomatoes rich in flavor and aromatics. Burpee.
Mighty Sweet: NEW! These super-sweet little 2 oz. darlings aren’t just gorgeous and ridiculously delicious, they’re loaded with big time nutrition: high in flavonoids, vitamin C, beta-carotene, lycopene and other phytonutrients. Our first determinate grape tomato is a prolific producer of snack-ready fruit. Disease resistant. Burpee.
Sunpeach: A delicious pink cherry tomato. Sister to Sungold but sweeter with excellent flavor; not as tangy and acidic. Deep pink shiny cherries are borne on long trusses. Resistant to cracking. Indeterminate.
Super Sweet 100: NEW! Cherry tomatoes bursting with sugary flavor. The scarlet, cherry-sized fruits are produced in long pendulous clusters right up to frost. Grow on stakes or a fence.
Two Tasty Hybrid: NEW! One plus one equals so much more than two in our newest two-bite cherry tomato. Bicolor skin hints at the flavor synergy: sweet rich-red and savory purple-black combine to give you a new third flavor. Voted best-tasting tomato out of hundreds rated by Burpee garden interns, this wonderfully complex fruit even beat the legendary ‘Sun Gold’. Harvest clusters of round 1½-2″ tomatoes with firm texture and juicy but dripless interiors. Two much goodness, indeed!
Veranda Red: NEW! Exciting news for those with limited space, or anyone who loves a constant supply of the sweetest little cherry tomatoes. This little powerhouse — a Burpee breeding breakthrough! — pumps out a huge and ongoing harvest. Just pick as needed. The dwarf plant, only about a foot high and wide, is ideal for your sunny deck, balcony, fire escape, patio, or even for growing as a windowsill houseplant.
White Cherry: Appealing pale-yellow cherry with a mild tomato flavor. My second in favorites. Black Cherry is always first. Indeterminate.
Yellow Grape: Deep yellow with mild, sweet flavor. Pairs beautifully with Red Grape.
Yellow Pear: Sweet, tangy yellow pear-shaped fruit. To my tongue, Yellow Pear is very, very mellow.
